The Challenge: Maximizing Space and Indoor-Outdoor Living

The client needed to significantly expand their living area to accommodate modern lifestyle demands, specifically requiring a dedicated home office and a versatile four-season room. This structural addition needed to be seamlessly integrated with the existing home while requiring a complete overhaul of the existing outdated exterior deck system.

The Solution: A 2-Story Addition and Premium Deck Upgrade

Talon Construction executed a full-scope two-story addition to the single-family home, drastically increasing usable square footage.

• New Functional Spaces: The addition successfully created a bright, all-weather four-season room and a private, professional home office.

• Structural Foundation: The project began with the removal of the old deck and comprehensive site preparation, including excavation and the construction of a new concrete foundation, footings, and a concrete slab. A new decorative patio was poured directly underneath the new deck.

• Exterior and Finish Work: The structural framing and new windows were installed. The exterior was finished with new vinyl siding, gutters, soffit, and fascia, ensuring the addition matched the existing home beautifully.

• Deck Enhancement: The project included replacing the old structure with a new, larger, and low-maintenance Trex deck and railing system.

• Interior Systems: The new interior spaces received full insulation, drywall, painting, new lighting, and flooring throughout.
